Bernie Haylock of England shares this picture. The gentleman in the center is his grandfather, John Mozart Haylock. He believes the child on the left is his father and the child on the right has not as yet been identified.
Here is what Bernie knows about his family. He is looking for more information.
"My grandfather John Mozart Haylock I am led to believe ran and owned a public house "Bay Horse Inn", Old Hall Green, Hertfordshire, UK, and would have been born approx. 1880-1890, as my father was born 1913. I can only remember the time during the later part of the last war (1943-44) being evacuated from the bombing and staying at Weymouth, Dorset, UK, where my grandfather was a sergent major in the army (served also in Hong Kong, where my father was born) and ran a public house on the "Noath", my grandmother was born we believe locally. My grandfather retired from the army with the rank of Captain"
I received from John Haylock and his wife a very interesting photo which I am enclosing, the explanations are taken from their message. More research is being carried out by their son Paul Haylock who works in London and will visit registration offices with John Mozart's birth details.

Here is what they have obtained from interviewing "MABEL" (90yrs) She is the little girl directly below John Mozart (standing in army uniform) as you see at that time was a Sergeant Major.
"John Mozart had brothers and sisters. We believe they were known as Maud, Irene, Lilian, Bert and Joe. Mabel thinks that John Mozart was born in London - (Manor Wood?) He was born within the sound of the Bow Bells. His father John Haylock was born in Cambridge. Our son Paul Haylock works in London and I have given him John Mozart's date of birth and death and asked him if he could go to the Family Records Centre and locate birth and death certificates. Mabel was born in Sheerness on 11 July 1909, your father was born in Hong Kong on 13 August 1912, Bernard George was born at the Bay Inn Pub. I enclose a photo of John Mozart & family in Hong Kong in approx 1914. The boy on Jessica's lap is your father Bert.
